The installation requirements for the Quantum Sleeper will  vary depending on what attributes you select for your unit. The following is set forth as a guide for minimum requirements for the installation a queen size Quantum Sleeper Unit.

  BASIC QUEEN SIZE UNIT:

Closed Position:
Dimensions of the basic Quantum Sleeper Unit in the closed position - 74” wide x 73” high x 110” long

Open Position:
Dimensions of the basic Quantum Sleeper Unit in the full open position - 138” wide x 98” high x 150” long

Recommended Room Space: 200” wide x 102” high x 200” long
The room that the Quantum Sleeper unit is to be installed in should have, as a minimum, room enough to easily maneuver around the unit in the open position and have space for other bedroom furniture.

  Accessibility:

Access door ways leading to the assembly area (room) must be at least 34.5” wide.

  Structural Support:
The basic Quantum Sleeper Unit weights approximately 2000lbs and it is therefore recommended that the installation of the unit on levels other than the ground floor be certified by a PE in civil engineering prior to installation.

  Power:

Unit must have access to house outlet jack (110V) to supply power to the Quantum Sleeper Unit and may be run separately through the floor directly to the unit.

NOTE: For homes that are set up with or are scheduled to have a “Smart Home” system installed, it is recommended that your unit be tied into the system in cooperation with the installer of the “Smart Home” system.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

  Hurricane/Tornado/Earthquake/Flood Resistant:

The Quantum Sleeper Unit must be located on a ground floor with a concrete slab foundation in order to anchor it to a solid base to resist the forces of wind and water if the unit will include these features.

  Fire Resistant:

The Quantum Sleeper Unit must be located on a ground level to prevent falling through floor structure as a result of fire damage if the unit will include this feature.

  Size/Shape:

Units of a size or shape other than the basic queen size will require additional considerations and will be addressed prior to the purchase of the unit.
