Quantum
Lite Sleeper is a scaled back version of the original
Quantum Sleeper and is aimed at giving customers a variety
of options as to the design and use of the of the unit apart
from plating it with 1.25” polycarbonate and fitting it
with diverse sensors.
These
units would be priced at about one eighth to one half of
the cost of the Quantum Sleeper (The average cost of the
Quantum Sleeper is estimated at about $160,000.00) depending
on what features is selected. Thes Lite Sleeper units would
have limited purposes and capabilities compared to the fully
armored and equipped Quantum Sleeper. The features will
still include many of the aspects of the Quantum Sleeper
and provide a level of security and privacy during normal
sleep periods.
They
can also be used for a place of retreat and defense against
perpetrators that break into homes to steal, accost, ransom
or in some other way potentially harm the homeowners or
occupants. They are also suitable as a protective environment
during times of biological warfare, chemical warfare or
other harmful gas attack (all the elements of a safe bed,
safe room & bomb shelter). It may also include feature
to provide protection from tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes
and floods. The Quantum Sleeper is intended for use of the
public at large and has potential uses for the medical and
government community as well.
The
Quantum Lite Sleeper unit may be built with an aluminum,
steel, plastic or wooden bed frame and headboard with options
of wood panels (stained to order), plastic, or aluminum
sheet panels (painted to order). The options for the canopy,
leg covers, bed frame and headboard plating will be the
buyers choice of aluminum or steel plating (in a wide variety
of thickness and colors), wood paneling (stained to order),
formed plastic (in a wide variety of thickness and colors),
Plexiglas, thin polycarbonate or any combination of these

a protective barrier (cover shields) between a perpetrator
or environmental condition and the homeowners or occupants
depending on what the customer desires. The barrier (metal,
wood, polycarbonate, Plexiglas or formed plastic) can be
fitted with Kevlar, a material designed to stop bullet penetration.
The

from harmful gasses. The unit can also be fitted with defensive
devices customized to the requests of the purchasers such
as tear gas spray, robotic arms, or projectile weaponry,
for examples. It is designed to enable the person(s) inside

in case of bio-chemical attack and a rebreather system to
enable the operator to seal off all outside air and provide
breathable air for a specified amount of time. This system
is used in such a case where the unit operator may need
to release tear gas or another form of gaseous material
in defense against a burglar. The rebreather system is also
useful as the ultimate protection from weapons of mass destruction
that may be used during biological warfare, chemical warfare,
bio-chemical attack or other type gas attack that could
release an unknown or new form of hazardous gas. There will
be 2 actuator operated doors with quick release links on
either side of the unit next to the headboard in case of
mechanical failure or loss of power to the operating systems.
